Merge, split, mark up, sign, redact and convert PDFs — without uploading them. Your files never leave this device.

A private PDF toolkit that runs in your browser

Most online PDF tools upload your file to a server. This one doesn't: every step happens on your own device, inside this browser tab. Close the tab and nothing is left anywhere else.

What you can do

  • Combine and organise — merge several PDFs and images into one file, reorder pages, rotate them, delete the ones you don't need.
  • Split and extract — save selected pages as a new PDF, or split every page into its own file.
  • Images to PDF — turn photos and phone scans (JPG, PNG, HEIC) into a PDF, with optional greyscale or black-and-white document clean-up.
  • Markup — highlight, draw, add ticks, crosses, shapes, arrows and text, plus a watermark and page numbers.
  • Fill and sign — draw or type your signature, keep it in this browser for next time, and add text and the date.
  • Redact — black out sensitive text for real. Redacted pages are rebuilt as images, so the hidden words are removed from the file rather than just covered.
  • Compress — shrink a PDF to email or upload it. Pages are re-saved as images, so text stops being selectable.
  • PDF to JPG or PNG, and extract text to copy, or save as a .txt or Word file.

Good to know

Password-protected PDFs can be opened with their password; their pages come in as images. Adding a password to a PDF and reading text from scanned pages (OCR) are in the Octopus Hub iPhone app but not in the browser version yet.
