Convert Files

Runs in your browser · nothing uploaded
All tools ▾

Drop in a file and see what it can become. Convert Files reads what a file really is — not just its name — and offers only the conversions that make sense. Everything runs in your browser.

A file converter that never uploads your files

Most online converters send your file to a server. This one doesn't: every conversion runs inside your browser tab, so photos, recordings, contracts and contact lists stay on your device. There is no account and nothing is stored.

What it converts

  • Pictures: HEIC, JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and SVG into JPEG, PNG or WebP. Resize, compress to a size limit, or remove location and camera details. Turn pictures into a PDF or an animated GIF.
  • Audio: anything your browser can play — WAV, MP3, M4A, FLAC, and on most browsers OGG — into MP3 (128–320 kbps) or WAV (16 or 24-bit).
  • Documents: Word (.docx) into PDF, a clean web page or plain text; Markdown, plain text and saved web pages into PDF; web pages into plain text.
  • Data: Excel ↔ CSV, CSV ↔ JSON, contacts (.vcf) and calendars (.ics) into spreadsheets, and SRT ↔ WebVTT subtitles.

Honest about what it can't do

Converting a Word file reads its content — headings, paragraphs, lists and simple tables — and lays it out again; it is not a copy of Word's layout, so pictures, columns and exact fonts are left out. Each result says what was kept and what was lost. Video conversion isn't on the web version yet.
